In her ethereal paintings Amelie investigates the meaning of blurred surfaces and forces that shape our environment but remain invisible, she looks at how they can be used to express movements, contrasting with expressionist strong well defined lines.

In her practice she seeks freedom of her brush stokes and a balance between clarity and density. Her work is an expression of her researches on the state of flow, it is influenced by the paintings of JWM Turner, G. Richter, Georg Gudni, the theories of quantum physics and the films of Terrence Malick.
